On the phone, he’d said he wasn’t really a drinker. But while i had two glasses of wine at dinner, he knocked back four red wines and four more glasses of Johnny Walker on the rocks. Um, not a drinker? Okay, maybe he was nervous. As he stumbled to the door and asked me to do things to him I wouldn’t do on a first date (and probably not EVER), I commented that for a non-drinker, he certainly seemed to drink quite a bit. He got really angry and yelled, “I was only drinking because you were and you seemed to expect me to!” Peer pressure is for high school kids. The weirdest part is that he works as a doctor in a rehab center.
